It's a range rover classic (old body style with round headlights)

Last year the amp went out and I had to buy a used one for $370 and now the cd changer stopped working.

I'm thinking about just replacing the stock cassette hu with a nice cd hu and bypassing the stock harman kardon amp in back and getting rid of the stock cd changer in back. It has a factory sub in it also but I don't need a sub either.

1. How hard will it be to bypass the amp?

2. What's a good price for labor if I let a shop do it considering I will probably buy the hu from them, possibly a alpine?

3. Or should I keep the amp and see how long it lasts and just replace the cassette hu with a cd?

I'm completely satisfied with the sound of the current stock equipment (speakers and amp) but I prefer a cd hu over a changer.

thanks
