Other... I figure Tony goes to the feds and agrees to testify against the NY family for protection for himself and his family.
Series had its great points and its let downs. Overall going to miss it.

I predict the Godfather 2 ending - everyone around Tony dies or leaves him, and he's left sitting alone.

I say Paulie turns on Tony and does the job himself.

I watched it last night - a guy named Bobby got whacked when he was buying model trains - dangerous hobby there.
#6: JR shoots Tony ;)

I think Tony will get over.
I know this is supposed to be the end for all time, but if they kill him off then they can never have a movie a few years down the road. And while that probably wont ever happen, it is a possibility and I figure HBO will figure its best to keep their options open.

I don't think a psychiatrist is allowed to testify against a patient. Plus she doesn't know anything.
David Chase has way too much disdain for the ineptitude of the justice system to allow them to ever have a successful case against Tony. If the Feds are involved in the finale, guaranteed they screw something up.

I think the FBI is going to ride over the hill like the calvary and save him by busting him but Phil needs to be wacked, I don't like that character a little bit. Frank Vincent does play a good gangster though.

From the preview, it looks like AJ is watching something burn...maybe the NY guys burn down the soprano's home..
As far as Tony, I have no idea...maybe Furio hears some shit is going down....

See what? Nothing?
Youre right about that!
Boy that was the biggest bunch of horsesh*t Ive ever seen in my life! What a worthless finale that was. So does Sil live or die, does Tony get busted, does he get whacked.......
If I knew the finale was going to blow this bad I would never have watched the show!
How can people create a masterpiece of a show for 3 seasons and then suck ass for 3 more seasons and then totally F up the finale?! Im pissed!

This (http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53873) thread says it all for me.
I actually liked the ending. Alot of stuff was implied but never happened. I thought it was fairly clear that Tony was about seconds away from getting taken down from the FBI; most of the patrons at the bar looked suspicious. The music and Meadow trying to park the car added tension to the scene. I thought it really ended just when it should have. Everything was spelled out but you didn't get to see it.

This season ended like every other previous season: the 2 episodes BEFORE the last were intense, followed by a slow ending, complete with the Soprano family gathered around some table eating. :D
As far as a movie, it would have to be a prequel as too many of the key characters are gone.

Like Doro says, read the credits carefully.
If you followed the show from the beginning, along with what was said a couple weeks ago, the ending should be clear.

Okay, I paid attention to everything. I read and reread the credits, carefully. . . Norm can you fill me in please?
I said in the other thread that Tony got hit and the black out was just that. . . I read the credits again, I still don't get it.
They're referring to the person who is within the ending credits as "Members Only Club Jacket"...the same jacket worn when Silvio got shot. Bobby and Tony chat about how they'll never see it coming when its over if they ever get killed. Alot of people think this is how it ends for Tony.
After three day's of thinking about it I've come to the conclusion that the end is actually a double cross. The ONLY strong evidence is that Tony and Bobby did have a converstation about not seeing it coming; everything else are just clues to make peoples heads spin all day. It's as if Chase is giving the people a bone to play with and making up clues all day. The fact is the memebers only person wasn't in the episode that had Silvio shot, the way people all looked menacing because Tony is plagued by this now; having to look over both shoulders. There is more evidence to support Tony didn't get shot then did. Phil was dead, very few people wanted him dead and the FBI wanted to protect him so they could steal the glory and lock him up for years. The end song was the biggest clue...keep believing...the show ended as randomly as it started.
Chase the creator put all those tiny lil fragments into the last scene to keep peoples imagination working and to give some insight as to what Tony thinks and feels.
Unless a movie comes out in two years (and it will) that starts off with Tony in the hospital after being shot I'm content that Tony is alive with his family ready to go to war with the FEDS. Paulie will overtake the business. The members only jacket was there to please viewers who didn't like Chases idea of an ending and could go on thinking Tony actually got it. Which in a sick way will make people feel better about the ending.

I was very disappointed with the ending. A lot of foreshadowing and I thing a big build up to a movie so they can make more money. A big let down.
