Just thought I'd share....

I'm cleaning the house trying to find places to put shit and so forth and I run across my old John Mellencamp 'Scarecrow' LP. Man, I hadn't listened to that in a LONG time.

I'll bet I wore out a dozen casettes of that album back in the day. Anyhow, cleaned 'er off and let 'er spin. Man, I'm back in 1985. GOOD stuff. I love an album that can take you back to a different time.

Minutes to Memories reminds me of my grandad Dion. A man among men.

That hoosier makes us proud!

One of his old guitar'ists, Larry Crane, is especially talented and still plays locally for free on occasion.
I often boat by Cougar's house on Lake Monroe in Bloomington IN. I've seen him outside a few times.
Attached is a photo I found on-line of his humble little home.

I absolutely love JCM! "Scarecrow", "Lonesome Jubilee" and "The Best That I Could Do" (greatest hits) are in my CD collection. The guy put tons of heart and soul into his music. Very underrated music and artist IMO!

Helluva crib that man has! Good lord!
