Yes, I know it was a day ruled by other, more important concerns. But hey--Mr Unitas passed away, and I expected something on the Polk Forum, seeing as how he played for the Colts. So c'mon, you old-timers (har-har), if there are any out there--pay tribute to "the man"! Me, I only got see him when I was real little & he was past his peak. But his record is impressive, especially for someone who played before the rules were changed to encourage a more wide-open, passing-oriented game.

The greatest ever.....Yes, he was at least one of the greatest. I was just a young man when he was in his prime, but I remember that the mention of his name got everybodys attention and respect in Baltimore. He was a hero in the truest sense of the word. Johnny Unitas will be missed.
