Hello, I just hooked up RTi6 fronts, and a Csi5 center. I now am going to buy some rears, problem is I am going to have to ceiling mount. I was going to go with one of the Fxi series, but I cannot mount them where they need to be. So to do a ceiling mount, I wanted a speaker that is not as large as say an Rti4.
I am looking at the monitor 30's, would those be a good match for my front setup?
Thanks

I have the Monitor 30's for my surrounds and I think they sound great. I don't think they are voice matched for the RTi line, but most people seem to think that's not as important for the rears.

How do you have them mounted? If you have them ceiling mounted, what did you use? Thanks!

I don't have them ceiling or wall-mounted, just sitting on top of tall furniture in the back of my room.

The monitor 30 is not the perfect match for the Rti line, however I'm currently using Rti10's as fronts and Monitor 30's as rears, and find that for HT it seems to be a good match for me. I haven't found there to be a noticeable problem or mis-match. I also have to add that HT is not my priority- I'm working on building a better 2-ch system. In the end, I'll be upgrading these to match my fronts to dial in my system more, but this is my last priority.
Who knows, once I do get matching rears, I may find that I've totally been missing out on a fuller HT experience.

Thanks for the input, I think I am going to give the RC65i's a shot in the ceiling, they were only $1 more then the Rc55's on Amazon
