Which was the cooler car?

For me, no question the Ferrari.

No question, the Countach.

Just think about the 2 hot chicks in the Cannonball Run...

Take me back further to the Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer. That came before the Testarossa. We're talking late 70s when the Countach first came out. Those were some classics.
Always been a Ferrari fan though. Never could get into the looks of the Countach. Too angular, not swoopy enough. I like my cars like my women, with curves, not hard edges!

I'm sorry but the Testarossa isn't vintage....................I would take a Countach or even my friend's Pantera over the Testarossa for vintage fun.

Out of production for over 10 years...in the world of supercars, I'd call that vintage.

Vintage supercar, I'd take neither. My pick: Porsche 959. Honorable mention to Lamborghini Miura.

Easy, Countach, always love those since i was a kid. I have a vintage Alpine Audio glass frame picture of the Lambo, almost 4' wide.

I bought my first issue of Car and Driver because they had a Countach on the front. I remember them comparing the $4k cost of the rear wing with the cost of a new Yugo. Man I wanted one of them when I was a kid......

Countach. I touched the window of one of those when I was 17. The salesman asked me if I wanted a ride I was too chicken to accept.

Tough call. I'm a Ferrari fan but the LP5000 was a hell of a car.
My top vintage choice is the 288 GTO Ferrari.

I'm sorry, normally I LOVE scantily dressed hot women posing all "sexy" like...............but I'd have to tell that "lady" to get the f%#& off the car! WTF is she thinking?

that car looks to much like the car in Back to the Future.. which of course was a DeLorean i know.

My friend had a Delorean for a few years.. nice car... but it sucked.. always breaking down. he lost about $4000 on the deal when he sold it.

Lamborghini Countach (1974-1990) or Ferrari Testarossa (1984-1996)? I think I'd take the Ferrari because I'd want to drive the car and the Countach is widely known as a beastly handling car, difficult to drive and abusive in its ride. The Ferrari on the other hand is a much better driver comparably and I think I would go with the F512M version which is essentially a street car based on the F512S race car from 1974.

However, if I honestly want to go with a car from that "era", I'd take the Vector W8:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/87/VectorW8.jpg/800px-VectorW8.jpg

This car reached 242 MPH at least 4 years before the McLaren F1 reach 240.14 MPH and it's prototype was hitting 200+ MPH in test in 1980. The current Bugatti Veyron has only been 11 MPH faster than a car that was originally designed in 1979-1980. Yeah, Lamborghini looks with Ferrari performance, I'd take the Vector.

Forgot a bout the vector. My 2nd choice after an lp5000s. I's still take a Vector with it's 6 liter dodge power plant.

Sir Mix-A-Lot "Testarossa"

But today, I'd take the Bugatti Veyron just do to the Bugatti craftsmanship!
Its like a Bugatti Royal but with todays Curves and Speed!

Actually neither. I'd have to go back to the Boxer Berlinetta too.

Between those two I'd have to say Lamo. Even though I'm much more of a Ferrari fan.

Over all....I'd have to pick either the Ferrari F40 or the Jag XJ220

Damn beat me to it. I was going to say Lambo but SMAL did have a kick ass song dedicated to the Testarossa...

The red head, and not by a narrow margin either. The Countach was a horribly rough drive (yes I have). Not really that good in comp either, all show, no go (short of a straight line).

Cheers,
Russ

I vote red head...Countach looked exotic...but the Ferrari was the better overally performer...Plus Ferrari's racing heritage is a huge plus.
