OK here is my question/situation... unfortunately years ago I was talked into the Bose Accoustmas 15 system. I have since learned the error of my ways and have added the monitor 50's and Polk Sub 404. Realizing, most of the sound comes from the CC I now want to add the Polk CS 1 or 2. Due to my budget right now and space issues I will be forced to stay with the Bose as my rears. I know this all sounds bizarre but that is where I am. Does anyone know since the amplifier that powers my Bose needs to say connected for my rears to work; by disconnecting the Center from the "system" will it cause any damage or overloading of the rears? Can't really post this on a Bose site so I thought someone here could help. BTW... When I added the Polk 50s and sub I kept my Bose system all connected.

Thanks in advance!

My receiver is the HK 7300

I would leave everything connected. The bose running with the Polk's should sound good.
Does your HK allow B channels to run in surround modes? If so, hook the Polk's to B and leave the Bose hooked up like normal.

I don't think you will hurt the Bose by disconnecting the fronts and center. But, it is Bose and I have no idea if they wire their systems in a different way. Call Bose.
