Got four surrounds. What do I put the sides and rears on bipole or dipole?

I'd suggest that you just give them a try w/ something that really has a strong surround track. Experiment. Depending on the acoustics and layout of your room, you might be surprised w/ what works best for you.

Try it both ways & choose whichever way you like the best.

Another thing to consider with the Fxi-5s --- if in use with 5.1 SACD/DVD-A audio material or other which may be mixed with "direct" instrument/vocal placement in surround channels (rather than just "ambient" reflected sound content) --- one can reverse the "left" and "right" Fxi-5s to have the panel with the mid-bass driver aimed more directly at the listening position. Worth trying/experimenting with ...
Most of all, trust your own ears.
If bipole/dipole settings are confusing, try out the various combinations and you will probably notice when you are getting undesirable or non-optimal phase cancellation or addition effects....

For movies, I like my sides on dipole (disperses the sound thus preventing localization) and the rears on bipole. If I was doing primarily music, I would probably use bipole for all speakers.

Of course this was primarily from my ear standpoint. Your ears may vary.
