my comp allmost caught on fire at least my monitor did it had black smpke comeing off of it it smelled prety nasty and is less than a year old i hope i get a new one free you know a product cathing on fire that is realey bad if i was not in the roon my house might have burned down

ganzo, that is crazy! What happened? I never heard of a monitor catching fire? did you drop some beer down the back or something?

Gonzo, did you have anything blocking the vents? Do you have any pets whose fur and dander my leak into them? Smoke?

Never heard of a monitor over-heating and almost (or actually) catching on fire due to the current. Definetly worth checking into. Keep us informed :)

no the thing just started smokeing. i dident spill anything in it and there was nothing around it. it was nasty! i dident see any fire but there was black smpke and i have had a amp in my car catch on fire and the smoke comes befor the flaims. that is when i started using fuses when installing things in my car.

Gazno,

I really have yet to hear of a monitor starting to simply smoke as you described. Contact the manufactorer, I wouldnt even use the damn thing after such a display.

it come with a 3 year warente 3 years usaly it is 90 days or 1 year for comp stuff i am calling on monday

i had a sony tv smoke crackle, and pop before.my wife was watching it and it scared the s--t out of her.
