This spawned from another thread which discussed oil and our dependancy on it.

Soooo.... is anything like this ever going to happen? This article sure makes it sound that way, but for some reason I'm still skeptical.

Opinions?

Sounds too good to be true, but beats oil, which the middle east will soon have a monopoly on.
But didn't the Germans use hydrogen in zepplins?

Yes hydrogen is combustable, but I think thats the point? Gas goes boom too. ;)

I think hydrogen is a wee bit more volatile than gasoline, is it not? I may be wrong... but that was my impression.

Way more volaile.

While gasoline may go Boom! Hydrogen goes KA-Boom

and this...
Say goodbye to fossil fuels.

Isn't it something like 1 cup of Gasoline VAPOR = 1/2 stick of TNT?
