Hi,

I am a complete beginner in audio stuff and recently bought a pair of SDA-2 and a PSW100 subwoofer at a garage sale. I have not plugged in the system yet but am wondering if it makes sense to use the subwoofer. The SDA-2 do not like like tiny little speakers...

If the question sounds like au audio crime, please be assured that it results from ignorance more than anything else.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Regards,
Matthieu

ps: the speakers would be driven by a Carver CT-3 preamp and a Carver TFM35 amp

SDA's have good bass response. Hook up the 2's, and see what you think. If you want a little more low end reinforcement, hook up the 100 and go for it!

Welcome to the boards!

Cheers,
Russ

Thanks for the quick answer Russ. I'll give it a try tonight.

I have heard of an "interconnect" cable for the SDA-2. Any idea what that is and where to buy one online?

Regards,
Matthieu

Oh, good luck finding one online. You will probably have to make your own. They aren't that hard to make and make the speakers really shine. Search the forums for directions on how to make the interconnect cable.

It's not an "SDA" without the cable.
