I would like to know if this is a good preamp for a 2 channel system. It has the v2.00 upgrade
Thanks

It would be fine for a 2 channel system I think. its not the same as a dedicated 2 channel pre is going to be though. As long as you dont mind using analog inputs. Its one of there oldest models but lexicon has a decent reputation for making high quality components. It was around $1500.00 retail. I see them on ebay all the time, usally selling from as low as $20.00 to $100.00 on average.

Thanks snow. I am trying it out right now. I turn the effects off. I respect the expertise of this forum,so I was looking for any input as to the quality of the unit. My 2 channel is a Rega P2, so analog input is not a problem.
Thanks

engtaz. So what did you think about the CP-1 Lexicon. I have one that's never been put into service and wonder if it's worth keeping and if it's compatible with SDA's. Not even sure
what the heck it does.

Well, I'm reading the users manual and beginning to see the picture. May be fun to play with.
