$575 + shipping to ConUS.

I recently purchased a pair of Monarchy Audio SM-70 mono blocks which replaced my trusty GFA-585 amp. Since I really have no other place in the house to use it, I'm offering it for sale here.

This was ADCOM's Limited Edition 'dual mono' version of the GFA-565 mono blocks. It is essentially two 565s in a single chassis.

250 Watts into 8 ohms and 400 watts into 4 ohms. Loads of current and headroom. A hefty amp. NOTE: This amp is not bridgeable, and cannot be run in mono configuration due to it's design.

I would consider this in very good condition for its age. It has a few nicks, but no scratches to speak of. I've tried to include some good photos so you can get an idea of the condition. I would rate it a 7/10 for age.

I have the original box, packing materials, manual and sales literature. The box has some water damage due to my washer overflowing in the basement one year, but rest assured, the amp was no where near it (it was resting comfortably upstairs in my 2-channel system, far away from any water).

I will double-box the amp and insure it.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

This is my brother and I vouch 100% for him. He is as anal about his equipment as I am. I passed on this only because I'm looking to step away from Adcom in the future and hope to soon own a Pass Labs piece. Otherwise this would have been in my 2 ch rig.

Class A/B or Class A?
Thanks

I'll field that one. A/B; in class A up to around 15 watts. There are very few affordable amplifiers in this wattage range that are pure Class A. Pass Labs makes a series if amps (XA) which are high wattage pure Class A but they are hard on the wallet as well.

Sorry, guys -- I have decided to keep this unit after the purchase of another amp fell through. It will be getting shifted to my computer system.

Thanks for your interest!

I hated to yank it off the market just as there was some interest, but right now I think it's my best option for the computer rig. The Acurus DIA-100 is moving to the bedroom system and I will be selling a Nakamichi SR-3A STASIS receiver that used to be part of the bedroom system.
