McIntosh MC7300 Amplifier (narrow chassis).

Exceptional condition, operates flawlessly. All twelve front panel bulbs were just replaced with extra-long life 50,000 hour bulbs (standard bulbs are 10,000 hour) so the next owner shouldn't have to deal with this McHeadache for a long time. All barrier strip screws and nuts present and accounted for. No scratches, dings, or dents that I can detect. I paid $2000 for this amp just a year ago and just installed the bulbs so low ball offers will be politely ignored.

I believe the MC7300 represents the best value in a modern McIntosh amplifier if you require balanced inputs, Autoformer outputs, Sentry Monitor, and Power Guard. While I love this amp I just restored/modded an Acoustat TNT-200 amplifier that drives my Acoustat 2+2's a little better than the Mac so this fine amp is now surplus to my needs. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY in SF Bay Area unless you ship me a genuine McIntosh crate and arrange for pick-up with your carrier.

Great amp! I have a 7270(270wpc) and don't see myself parting with it anytime soon if ever.

Ooh, that would match my Mac ML-2C speakers nicely. Not gonna happen, considering I spent less on my last truck. Darn.

a question here???. if this amp puts out 300 wpc into 8,4,and 2ohm loads, than why would the acoustat be so much better at driving the 2+2's. given the price of the mac plus 300 watts, you would think it would drive anything with ease.

tom t,

The Mac does drive the 2+2's with absolute ease. So does the TNT-200.

The TNT-200 was designed by Jim Strickland to be the ideal accompaniment to the Acoustat electrostatic speakers of the time. My TNT-200 was further improved by a few well placed circuit mods/updates and cap upgrades. But perhaps the biggest reason comes down to damping factor:

TNT-200: Greater than 1000 at all frequencies below 1000Hz. Greater than 100 at 20K Hz.

MC7300: Damping factor 40 or greater.

p.s. Free bonus: Get an SDA blade/blade cable for free when you buy the amp.
