Take a look at the AV123.com forum. They are developing a monster speaker at 83 inches tall with 12 woofer drivers and line array for tweeters.
Will be interesting to see what these can do acoustically. They are called the LS9's. They will be listing for $3999. I still believe the SRS 1.2's will have a wider soundstage, however we shall see.
Never thought the SRS 1.2's might have a true competitor.
