I love my HD-DVD player add-on and I have one of the older systems that doesn't have HDMI. It looks absolutely stunning.

How much difference well HMDI make? i have seen the HD-DVD player on he old 360 and it was pretty good. The Toshiba player is not getting great reviews.

It depends on your display. If you have a 1080p set, then yes the hdmi will look better. I believe it looks slighty better on 1080i sets as well.it's not a bad Idea to pick up an ELITE.

mine goes through component and it equals my ps3 via hdmi.
