I put on some "Electric Ladyland" that I have on import,,circa 1970ish,,yeah,, the one with the girls on the cover,, WOW,,for lack of a better term--Organic,,the "digital tinniness" is gone,it just sounds more "natural",,less edgy,,I can almost smell those Marshall's,,:D ,,I'm going to "george's world" for awhile. As Rich once told me,,"vinyl is a deep hole",,if I'm going to be addicted,,let it be vinyl,,,all for now. :)

Yes, YES, YESSS!!!!
Congrats again George! Sounds like your new TT rig will revolutionize your music listening experience, as it has for me :)

If you haven't already, your next purchases should be a VPI cleaner, cleaning fluid, record sleeves, onzow stylus cleaner, milty zerostat gun, Hunt carbon fiber brush, and...more vinyl! THEN think about all the wonderful upgrades available for that VPI...

Damn, that cart is the perfect match for your P75. It was worth the wait :D
Be sure to set the jumpers to PE mode!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Great snag George, and all those accessories listed above are absolutely necessary! Mulveling forgot to mention the digital stylus force guage.

You can get the Hunt brush, from Todd the Vinyl Junkie (http://www.ttvj.com/index.php?main_page=index) for $15 shipped with their new customer discount.

The Onzow Zerodust and the digital stylus force guage you can get very cheap from Sorasound (http://www.sorasound.com/news.htm), if you can get someone to who needs one of each of them, Mehran at Sorasound will give you a big discount on the two items. Make sure that you mention Rich and my names. Mehran cut me an even better deal when I mentioned Rich so I figure two names are better than one.

The Milty Zerostat gun you can find for 2/3rd the MSRP, you just have to look around the internet.

I highly recommend the VPI 16.5 "Basic" package from The Elusive Disc (https://www.elusivedisc.com/default.asp). This will get you started with everything you need for cleaning and taking care of your records.

A nice tt... on my very short list of possibilities to replace my venerable b&o TX-2 when the cartridge (i.e., stylus) goes South.

:D Thanks go out to . . . Joe for his help and advice . . . . Thanks guys. :)

WARNING! Joe is the digital anti-Christ. He was sent by the vinyl demons to help empty your pockets. Neil Young for-seen this evil and wrote his prophetic song "The Needle and the Damage Done"

Stay away from Joe! (cross held in hand with outstretched arm)

Who me?

I just heard an incredible SACD . . . Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars . . . this would give my best ZS LP a run for its money. :D

I've been liking mine for a while...and if you have a half decent phono stage and a decent pressing, Ziggy still sounds better on vinyl.

George, I'm getting a custom dust cover for my Space 294 from this fellow at Audiogon (http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?anlgtabl&1194137290). Made to specs, your choice of 3/16 or 1/4 thick, clear, hinged top or one piece, light or dark smoked, some custom colors, starting at $120.

Joe, I screwed up and linked the amp covers so I edited the post. The TT covers start at $120. I didn't inquire what the options would add to the base price. My cover will be large to fit around the plinth (22.5 x 16 x 10.5), 3/16" thick, clear, so my final was $170. I went high just in case I add NAS's Heavy Kit, which adds near 1" to the platter height.

You know, you are kind of responsible for my table upgrade. Once you sent me the link to that review, I asked a couple of dealers if it was really that good. Then one popped up at a great price so I jumped on it.

Ha ha ha, I still stand by my statement!:D Besides the Scout should easily fall in between $120 and $170. I always wondered why VPI always sold the dust cover separetely. They've been doing this since I started doing business with them in the early 80s.

That new table you acquired is the bomb.
