I have a few questions about them if someone could help me out. I think I got a good deal on them 150.00 for the pair they are in perfect condition. Is that a good deal? and my other question if I use those do I still need a powered sub? My current sub is velodyne vrp 1000 how good would the bass be out of the rt20p's compared to the velo?
thanks

I, too, have RT-20P that I am passing on to my son once he graduates. $150 for the pair is a good deal IF they are in 100% working order. I bought mine in 1996 for $1500. I have had to replace both amps, 4 8" woofers, one mid and one tweet. You will not need a sperate sub for these.

what is the best way to hook them up? use my sub pre out into one of the amp inputs on the speaker, then use the output into the input on the other speaker? or use the L/R pre out on the reciever and change settings to large and subwoofer off? system mainly used for movies and video games.

I used mine only for 2 ch music and had them hooker up with jumpers I made from 10 ga speaker wire. The speakers wires from my amp ran to the 'bottom' posts (woofer) then the jumpers sent the signal to the mod/tweets. Polk may have the manual archived on their home page or you can contatc Ken Swauger in Polk customer service. I am sure he would be happy to send you a PDF file of the manual.
