No affiliation, just a nice sub at a good price. They'll handle 200 watts per channel and they dig deep and have a wide range for a band-pass box due to the isobaric configuration.

It's worth picking up for the nostalgia alone.

The seller is pretty correct with his assessment. I watched many people return these amps because they say 600 watts on them but IIRC, they had no fuses and unregulated power supplies so they'd eat up as much power as you could throw at them and they'd bake almost any voicecoil. It might have trouble with some of the newer stuff with gigantic magnets or the XBL^2 stuff but this is the kind of stuff Hifonics was known for way back when.



It's amazing what you can dig up if you just look around.

I'm gonna see if I can't find some of that hard-to-find classic Orion stuff. That was serious gear back when but super expensive and barely anybody who wasn't sponsored that I knew could afford it. Most went for the cheaper Phoenix Gold stuff but Orion was well respected just not very prevolent.

Nice. I had a C4 for a short time many, many years ago. I'd really like to hear one now to see if it has any output compared to today's woofers...

I have one. I use it for a home theater sub. It's hooked up to a NAD stereo amp. Don't remember the exact model right now but it's about 120 watts per channel at 4 ohms. It's pretty stout. Not necessarily a boomer but it's clean and digs deep. It's in a fairly small room, only about 18x15 feet but it'll rattle everything real good. In a hatchback or SUV, it'd be pretty loud if you gave it it's 200 watts RMS per channel. That's 400 watts RMS.

Dang, that C4 would be pretty awesome. Polk, four 6x9's (just kinda sounds cool), and looks to be in real nice condition. A shame I don't really have enough room for that in the Jeep...or the money to dedicate to it at the moment.

I ran some of the Polk MM componets in my car some years back :). I had that exact midrange driver (MM 6510).
