Halo 3 all day long.

Even if my computer could handle Crysis, it would still be Halo 3.

Since I'll probably complete Bioshock twice by that point, Halo 3 for me.

I have most of the day off on the 25th also. Probably going to play until it gets light outside, then go to bed, try to get thru work on a few hours of sleep. Its going to be awesome.

Crysis. Getting the parts for my computer Wednesday and should have it running perfectly by then. Also, no 360 :)

Probably neither, unless Halo 3 proves to be more than the same repetative yawn fest the series has been so far.

I wonder what the specs will be to run Crysis?

I just bought a new computer with a Q6600 processor along with an nVidia 8800 GTS card..

I hope to be able to play it..

I just bought a new computer with a Q6600 processor along with an nVidia 8800 GTS card..

I hope to be able to play it..

Hopefully, otherwise I can't either :).

Here ya go:

Here is a list of confirmed information...

* Crysis will run on both DX9 & DX10 as well as Windows XP and Windows Vista.
* A graphics card that supports Shader Model 2 or higher is required.
* CryEngine2 is estimated to scale back 2 years, and scale ahead 1.5 years.
* A single 7800GTX will run the game quite well on fairly high settings according to Crysis Art Director, Michael Khaimzon.
* Jack Mamais of Crytek said in an exclusive Crysis-Online interview that his X1900XT runs the game very well at reasonably high settings ( still unoptmized ).
* Crysis will dynamically utilize all processing threads available. Meaning quad-core processors will be supported.

The following specs are estimates made by myself based on the above mentioned information and other sources. These estimates are NOT official - but are based on official information.

Minimum Requirements
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6600 or ATI X1600 - Shader Model 2.0
RAM: 1GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

Recommended Requirements
CPU: Dual-Core CPU (Athlon X2 / Pentium D / Core 2 Duo)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800 or ATI X1800 (SM 3.0)
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

I think we will be fine.

This will start a flame war...

Halo 3 is over hyped and Crysis will be better.

All the footage from Halo 3 look just like a barely polished Halo 2, with a few more guns and vehicles.

Nothing ground breaking or new like bioshock, no new style of play like Gears of War, rehash of Parts 1 and 2.

I do have a 360 and I will be getting halo 3.

Let the bitching begin :-)

Crysis for me. I've been looking forward to that one for quite some time now...

I'm sure Halo 3 will be good and I own a 360 so will pick it up probably, but Crysis is going to be awesome!!

Plus Bioshock seemed to set the bar pretty high for 360 games...

reviews look excellent for Halo 3.

This topic is now done for discussion because the Crysis demo has been pushed back a month:

I will be playing the World In Conflict demo. right now I'm number 99 on the leader board. Last time I checked their is some where around 25,000 players, Just last week I was at #2056. I think I'm starting to really under stand the ins and outs of the game pretty good, now if I could only afford a retail copy I'd be set. Oh yeah, and I'll probably check out the Crysis demo when it comes out halo 2 killed it for me

Like every gaming website is reporting scratches on the Limited Edition Halo 3 discs because they come loose in the case and slide around. Naturally, that's the one I pre-ordered.

Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning at 10:00... 'cause I'm not fighting 150 kids just to get it at midnight.
