Just picked this up the other day (black version).

Man this little thing is bright! I have a 3cell Maglite and the G2 is much brighter than the Mag. I still love the Mag and the Mag has its place in my collection. However, the G2 will be used more for outdoors as the G2's light relative to its size is impressive.

Just came in from using it around the yard and the neighbors. I really like the way the G2's beam lights up the yard and fills in shadows a good 100+ feet away. Not bad at all for a little light.

Highly recommend

Sweet!

I bought mine at a local hunting store.

Ours is rated at 65 lumens, I could only imagine what the G2 LED or the G3 looks like rated at 80 and 105 lumens.

Yea, I wanted one but I didn't to spend too much money. I like the fact that the battery has such a long shelf life. I will most likely buy another one for my Dad. He uses flashlights all the time and he's complained to me in the past that he goes get it out of his trunk and the battery is dead :(

Smith & Wesson makes some nice little flashlights as well.

The Tactical light is rated at 95 lumens, and is unbelievably bright for

such a small flashlight. I also got a Galaxy 9, which at 65 lumens is no slouch

either, but has the added benefit of 9 LEDs in addition to the Xenon bulb,

which saves battery life considerably. You may want to consider something

like that for your Dad, Sal. (BTW; you're welcome ;))

I use a similar light at work. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the cost of replacing batteries(123's). They do last a while though.
