Not that I'm a posting machine like a few of you, but I may be offline for very short while. Yesterday morning I broke my humerous clean in two playing futbol (soccer). I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 330P then I'll be better than new!

Ouch, sorry to hear that. That's why I gave up adult league anything a while back.
I have a few girls on injured reserve right now too (knee, hip, hamstrings)

I stayed pretty calm. The realization that it was more than just a crack probably would've won me the prize. :)
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. :o

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, we'll keep your spot warmed up for your return.
Since you're going to be in a cast, won't you be on here more?
I've been on disability for a last few weeks due to a work related injury. I'm about to go blind from being on the computer so much. I'm actually looking forward to going back to work soon.
Best of luck.

man...that blows. sorry to hear of your misfortune. I'm 34 going on 40, and have pretty much given up high impact sports like that for fear of something terrible like that happening. Good luck on a speedy recovery.

I had bone surgery done on my fore arm about 3 years ago. It hurts like hell for a few hours after the operation. I swear I could feel the tissue that they stripped off the bone moving back into place. After that it really isn't too bad. Healing time is much faster then a cast and the major pain is gone by the second day. Good luck.

Dude... that sucks.
...but tell me this... were you making the tackle, or tackling at the time of the break?

Surgery went well. I'm at home, doing well. I'll be out of the ace bandage today and doing some light exercises for my shoulder and elbow. Save for sleeping, I should be out of my sling by tomorrow or Saturday.
Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts.

Neither. I was sprinting to some open space to receive a long, open-field, cross and clipped a player while looking over my shoulder for the ball. :o

I'm already out of my sling and doing lite shoulder exercises. I couldn't handle 3/4ths of my arm floppin' around for 3-4 weeks!
