This was an interesting article written by Roger Russell, ex McIntosh engineer.
I really enjoyed it :)

Shhhh.... the truth is a dangerous thing.... there are many MONSTERs (brand) out there that will feel threatened by it.... Are you sure that you can handle the truth?

Its in writing on the internet, it must be true.....
Purchase used or borrow some nice cable and compare it to what you have (assuming what you have is not expensive). Plug it into your system and decide for yourself if you notice a difference or not. If you hear a difference - (not better, just a difference) try some other cable and decide what works best for you. If not, sell the used cable (or return it to your friend with your thanks) and pocket your savings for your next upgrade.
Don't trust what you read about audio - its all about what you hear with your ears in your system.

Excellent advise. if you do some wire searches in here, we had a cable swap program where we all added in a few cables , passed them around to other members and got to demo them in your house for the price of shipping. It was a great way to get to try out some cables and see what they did in your system.

Yes, this is THE way to do it.
Decide for yourself.

Must be the one with Gordon Gow that we were discussing years before I listened to and bought the MITs.
