Can an audio cable sporting spades banana type plugs hook up to a typical amp/reciever with clip connections?
As far as I know yeah, if you cut the spades off. :)

Simple answer...NO
Complex answer...NO
Have you tried it yet?
Peace Out~:D
Try buying a female receptical for the spades. Attach the appropriate wire to the receptical, and the insert that wire into the push/clip connections on the receiver. Thats all that I an think of short of cutting the spades off or getting a new receiver. :)
This is actually for a Carver amp that uses clips. lol Ah well, not suprised in the least.

Re-terminate the wire, or if it is banana terminated, gold 'pins' will forcefully slide over the bananas, and provide a 'pin' connection, I've done this before for a Carver.
Spades, test one 'fork' of the spade to see if it will fit, and clip the other side off.

easy,
trip to rat shack, cut those spades or banans off man, reterminate with pins, they are made for spring clips. If your amp has clips...thats just what you got to work with, not the best connection but thats what it is.
cutting the spades and reterminiating seems like its defeating the purpose of purchasing that cable in the first place.

thankfully I have a source on the way which is capable of supporting such plug ins.
Thanks for the suggestions boys, I may end up having to try them still.

just what kind of cable is this anyway? i'm curious to know. thanks
I like banana plugs from rat shack.. the dual ones are great.. not the skimpy ones.. the higher quality duals. but they won't fit a Marantz . but they fit the Polks banana plugs. nice and tight
