Have them now. They're just sitting boxed up on the floor at work, begging me to go home early and hook them up. Should be fun.

Those are great amps and will drive pretty much anything with ease. Good score for you!

I figured I might as well try the amps that were meant to go with my speakers. Haven't been listening to my system much lately. Hoping this recharges my interest in it.

I just got a pair a few weeks ago too, STILL havent been able to get them out and play yet here at home. I did however hook them up at a friends house on the way back from getting them, very sweet amps :)

Only spent about 30 minutes with them last night. I realize I may change my opinion, but....
whereas the Rotel 1090 was a nice big upgrade, the Silver 7s are a totally different level altogether. I think I am going to be very happy with them.

I had the 9t's which were only a few resistors different and they were awesome! As much power as you could ever want.

I recently had a pair of 9T's and they were really nice. Power aplenty. The only drawback I found was that they take a while to warm up and sound their best. I am thinking the 7's may be the same so give em a few hours before critical listening.

I got about 3 hours in with the new amps tonight. So, the current system is Shanling CDT100 player, straight to the Silver 7t's, powering Carver Amazing Plats. Tonight confirms my early impressions. Its taken my system to the next level. Clearly superior to the Rotel, at least in my system. I'm sure the difference would not be as apparent with less power hungry speakers.
So, besides having plenty of power, they are very musical. I've not heard such a musical amp for speakers. I've heard a similar headphone amp in terms of musicality, and that was a nice $1000 gem. Anyways, whereas the Rotel was pure solid state precision, the 7t's have more power, but have that fluidy, warm, glowing sound that I read about you guys experiencing.
The amps brought new life to everything I threw at it. My well recorded albums sounded better, and to my suprise the albums that sound good, but are far from being perfectly mixed, benefited from a jump in overall sound quality. Perhaps another effect of the tubey-ness. Some might call that being more forgiving, but I tend to think of that as a quality of not being able to produce fine resolution. That certainly was not the case as I was hearing new textures and layers in tracks that I was VERY familiar with.
The one area the 7t's aren't excelling in is I am finding in some songs bass that is a little sloppier than it should be. Nothing too offensive, but its certainly there. Overall I think I am going to be listening to these amps for quite a while.
