The role of Kirk hasn't been cast yet. An unconfirmed rumor is Russell Crowe for the part.

I can handle Crowe, rumors began with that kid from the Borune movies, Matt something or other, no way, that guy cannot act his way out of a card board box, I pray he's not picked as kirk.

They really need to have all no-namers in this, no one popular, not even Crowe.

I seem to remember something negative about him.

Well, nobodies perfect Silverti. On the other hand, I personally have enjoyed some of the films that Crowe has done. And i reinterate, it's just a rumor that he may be cast for the Kirk role. There's also other rumors he may be cast as a villain. Just gotta wait and see. :)

Hey, I remember that episode. Shore Leave. Captain Kirk always wanted to beat the hell out of Finnegan from his Starfleet Academy days. I don't recall seeing that sub-title though. ;)

Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) is playing Scotty. As if I needed another reason to go see this movie.
