I have a pioneer vsx-917 receiver and wondering that the RM20's package will sound good with them?

Fine. At a claimed 110wpc, it will power the RM20 package just fine...if that was what you where asking.

My RM20 package sounded great with my Onkyo 65WPC amp. Using a Denon-887 now and they sound better. My area is 12' x 12' and I couldn't be happier with mine. You should enjoy yours.
