$2500~ is what they typically go for. The retail was $5200. It uses a quad of 6SN7, has a separate power supply in a full size chassis. Four inputs, 2 outputs, mute function. Remote control has volume and mute.

Killer preamp. Pair it with the one of kind Dodd amp I sold you, I don't know that you could do substantially better at ANY price.

Russ, Final questions.. How important is a gain factor in a tube preamp? What is the gain of this tube pre? Is it self-biased as the tube amp that you sold me. Thanks.

There is no biasing in 99% of the preamps out there. Gain is important, but moreso in dealing with phono stages. The Dodd has PLENTY of gain.

Hurry up and get that Dodd; at that price it's a steal. It's funny how low a resale value Dodd gear has...seems like people don't know it for what it is??

It seems that it does not have a HT by-pass; I had the Dodd MLP which had the by-pass and it was clearly labeled

Zero, the Totem Forest system is complete, and it matches well with Plinius.. I am slowly building another one with Proac speakers and tube components.
