All I know is I can't wait to get home after work to give it a spin downstairs. Both my kids have seen the movie but tonight will be the first viewing for the wife and I. All I know is my daughter has called three times already to ask what time I'm going to be home, this is one of her favorite movies and she is only 10, my son is 8 and he loved it also.

Just watched it. Awesome movie. Cool transformations. Good comedy. Great writing. Wife loved it. SQ could have been better, though.

I really didnt enjoy it all that much in the theater. But sweet holy... On my new HT it friggen rocked tonight. Amazing how much better this stuff is when you dont have kids throwing popcorn, tards talking on cell phones, dudes behind you kicking your chair and the dude not in front of you farting all movie long.

I had it cranked pretty hard, Onkyo at strait up 0. My Outlaw was handling it well, my 10+ year old Energy was not; I had to run it down a little bit. But I recon my neighbors glass's were shaking... even through my double dry wall, double wall and 2 layers of R19 insulation w/ 3 inches of Styrofoam :)

I’m thinking I need that second Outlaw sub now, sell the Energy.

Not bad. The robots were cool and I really dug the sound effects. No doubt our neighbors knew we were watching. I had it cranked to the point where the walls were shifting. John Turturro makes me laugh.

Well, all I can say is WOW!!! The family and I finally sat down last night and watched this and I must say I really enjoyed the movie. I had to run the volume up a little higher than normal but I can tell you this much, there were some parts in this movie that had me a little concerned that the ceiling and walls were going to come down around us. This movie has been put on the top of my list as definate demo material. Can't wait to give it a spin once again this Friday when my brother-in-law and sister-in-law bring their kids over to watch it.

You guys have it made, mean while I just sit out here in Japan waiting by the mail box for my Amazon HD DVD copy to show up. Such is life I guess, Hmmm, I can say I just watched Edward Scissorhands on BD and the PQ was unreal. Hmmm not as exciting....................

I agree with you, Silver. When I saw it in theaters, it was a 10:30pm showing and I had attended a rather long happy hour before-hand. After 2 hours of robots smashing into eachother in the dark theater, I admit my eyelids won the battle a couple times.

Yesterday, totally different story. Even though I was under the weather, the movie was unbelievable in my HT. I think being wide awake, not being at work, and having the total HD experience were all factors.

The movie seemed to flow well, I was more accepting of the cheesy parts, and the sound / visual effects were amazing. I had the HK cranked to -18, which is about 5-10 higher than usual.

Quick note: I went from 6-channel analog inputs to digital (coax) about an hour into the movie. For some reason, I like the BM my HK provides. Seems to hit harder. I've never gotten the bass dialed in with analog the way I'd like.

I liked the first one, don't get me wrong. . . but, I've seen this all too often. Remember Matrix? Great movie. Remember the second and third. . . not so good. Great special effects, but no heart, soul, or plot.

Same with the first Batman trilogy.

I'm kind of wishing they went with a different director and/or hope they make it a bit darker, deeper, etc.
