I have had a bad month man....

I am just disgusted with the way things are going..

at work we lost a major bid, and went down to core(74) and laid everybody off..

Core went to 68, and today I`m told we are going to 24

I came home to watch a movie and forget about work and the amp bites it and no surround system...

can it get any better ?

I`m disgusted with life...goin to bed

just needed to vent..

I`m out

Parasound amplifiers are notoriously anti-Harley.

Maybe he should just end it, now? Flare gun in the mouth? That's how I plan to go. Do it. Youtube it.

Cheers,
Russ

Forgive my crude interruption, but there is a deal on an ATI 5-channel job in the for sale section. :o (Good luck).

Nice plug for your sale.

It might just be a thermal couple that went bad, and the amp "thinks it's hot".

The ATI ain't no Parasound and that's pretty lame.

Obviously he doesn't understand our humble little internet community. Life in a new hood can be rough.

Well, even the best designed amplifier can crap out once in a while. The REAL measure of a company is how they deal with you in response to the crisis.

In my experience, H/K has been good, while Velodyne has been very good.

I'm not quite ready for an ammp, but Parasound has been high on my list. I hope Beardog follows up on this thread to let us know how Parasound stacks up where it matters most: customer service.

I will call them today to see what I can...

No flare gun to the grill for me bro...
Flare gun to someone elses grill...maybe

THe amp is sort of old...HCA-2205a

I will see about fixing it, and the cost of replacement

S.O.N. ....I may take you up on your offer to help me take a look at it
I am across the bridge from the City...and Parasound is blocks from work in San Francisco..

They do not allow "walk ins", so I have to ship it 5 blocks to them

Pint up a general bill of lading, fill it out, drive up to their dock and tell them you are a delivery service. If you can't find a bill of lading PM me and I will mail you one. No way I would pay shipping and insurance
fees for 5 blocks

I`m already on it !!
thought of that the other day...

I`m trying to get the same amp locally (craigslist)
with approx 80 hrs on it..

wish me luck....I`m goin in...!!!!

i feel for you beardog, i live in the same city as Onecall.com and they have to charge me shipping instead of me just picking up and item in their store. it bites  I can buy the same item in the store.. but not for the website price??

I have the same problem with my HCA 2205. Channel 4 high temp is on. The amp is not hot, and channel 4,5 are empty. Currently I am only running 3 channels set up.
Could you please chime in and tell us how yours got fixed?

Thanks

Call Parasound CS and send it to Tony for repair.

Brought the amp to Tony for repair. Apparently the thermal switch connection was a loose. Tony fixed it and ran the amp for several days without any problem.

Cool thing is, Tony said there is no charge. WOW...I'd recommend Tony to all parasound owners if you guys ever need help.

Gonna pick up the amp today and start enjoying my music again.

Glad to hear it worked out alright :)

Now let's let old threads remain just that!

At least he searched for and found an old thread, unlike all the new overlapping amp threads posted lately...

I also received great CS from parasound resolving an amp issue. They were very easy to work with.
