Apparently Doro tried to move this thread up here from the Flea market and got it "messed Up" No problem.

Just noticed these Allison Four speakers on EBAY and the auction is about to end. I have had a pair of these for 30 years and will never sell them. True giant killers for anybody looking for a classic speaker of this proportion. Sound MUCH bigger than they really are and with a great sound stage. Starting price (no bids yet) of $399 are a tad more than normal but the condition is driving the price. I just wish mine looked like these. Highly recommended (even at this price).

No affliation BTW.

I always wanted a pair when I was younger. Used to stare at the glossy literature I collected from circling readers choice numbers on the mail in cards out of the Stereo Reviews of the day.

I can't tell you how much literature crap I used to get in the mail during high school (early mid 70's) by doing exactly the same thing. Thats when i used to know all the stupid stats (not that I really knew what they meant) about new equipment. I remember standing in "Wall to Wall Sound" a mid-fi stereo store in Abington, PA when they just received their first model of a Pioneer SX1010 (I think). The guy unloading was complaining how heavy it was so I proceeded to tell him exactly the weight, power, THD etc. They looked at me like "who the hell is this guy?" I have since forgotten everything:o

Well, sold for $431. Doubt you could find a better current speaker for that price.
