I am looking for some advice on a future surround sound setup as I am new to the world of speakers and home theater.
Currently, I am purchasing from a friend Pioneer Elite VXS-82TXS, 2 RTi38’s, and Csi30, and a sub (model currently escapes me).
I am looking to possibly install a 7.1 in a great room with vaulted ceilings and no rear wall. What would be a good combination to the above to accomplish this?
I was thinking of possibly doing 2 RC65i for sides and 2RC60i for the rears. Or should I go slightly bigger with the RC85i and RC80i or jump to the 60/6 5TCi’s ? The 80/85 TCi’s are more than I want to spend right now if that was even a consideration with the RTi38’s.
One other question, is it recommended to stay with similar sized speakers? For example if I go with the RC65i do I go with RC60i?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
