Up for grabs is the 971H. I've got the HK and now the Toshiba so unfortunately this is the odd one out. Everyone knows this player so no need to pump it up. Looking for $95 bucks shipped conus, probably a tad bit more for our great friends to the north. In excellent condition.
Paypal or M.O.
Thanks, Dave

How up to date is the firmware? And it will come with the original cables, will it?
Thanks!!

All original cables but unsure of firmware. I only used it a couple weeks so really never got to play with it much. I bought from izafar.

It's very easy to update the firmware. Oppo's website has instructions on how to update via burning a disc. It takes 10 minutes tops.

How about the cable? Is it a dvi<->dvi + dvi<->hdmi adapter or dvi <-> hdmi?
Thanks!!

As far as I know, when you order from Oppo it comes with a DVI to DVI cable (5 feet I believe). If you need different, monoprice.com is very reasonable and good quality.

Duh, my Sony doesn't have DVI input, will have to pass and continue to use the 970.
Thanks for the reply!!

I can't speak for daboyz, but I got the cables Shawn listed when I purchased my 971.
$85.00 is a no-brainer for this player!!!

Totally agree. If all the parts, in particular, the DVI to HDMI cable, that Shawn listed are present, I will take it. I just didn't want to hunt for another cable/adapter, call me lazy and cheap, I want plug and play :D

Let me know ASAP because I was planning on going to Ebay with the player tonight. It has both cables so I'm basically giving it away at this price. Happy that a fellow Polkie is gonna get it instead of someone else. PM me if you're down or not.
Thanks, Dave
