First of all let me say that I run 2 Kicker Comps on a Kicker amp and they rock but the problem I am running in too is with my high sound stage... I have a set of MoMo 6 1/4 and 4 momo Tweets also I have a set of Kicker 6x9 in my rear stage but I wanna wire all this up to a 2 channel 1200 watts SPL amp is there a way to do this w/o dropping ohms on the amp down to 2 ohm but it's 2 ohm stable so if I have to I will but I'd rather not do that..... I know there has to be a way. I am going for LOUD not BOOOOOOOOOOOM! Also if anyone has idea feel free to hit me up with them.... always open for suggestions.

Thanks,
MoMo Man

PS- Kicker man by heart MoMo Man By Brain Kicker makes more responsive sub than Polk or atleast I feel like they do.... Don't get me wrong I love polk sub but they boom Hard and carry for ever but I have found for apps. such as rock and roll they fail to even come close to kicker maybe it's just me. Kicker was there before momo!!!!! I don't feel MoMo Sub touch kicker subs!!!!

The big problem here is obtaining a 4 Ohm load for tweeter crossover section of the the passive crossover for the component system. If you plan on using both pair of tweeters and wire them in parallel you will need to install
a 2 Ohm 10 to 25 Watt power resistor in series with the positive lead of the tweeter leads then connect it to the passive crossover. The reason for this is so we do do not change the crossover frequency because ther crossover is designed with 4 Ohm components in mind. If you just wired both pair of tweeters to the passive crossover this would then change the crossover frequency by a whole octave.
If you complete all of the above recommendations, and you still want to connect the 6x9's and the components to the 2 channel amplifier you will need to wire both systems in parallel and this will achieve a 2 Ohm stereo load to the amp. I would not recommend wiring these speakers in series due to a degradation in sonic quality. The best scenario would be to use just one pair of tweeters for the component system along with two dedicated stereo amplifiers. One driving the components, and one driving the 6x9's. Set the high pass crossover on both at 80 Hertz.

I have a question..you say a 1200w SPL amp? what amp is this. Is it a class D amp or an A/B amp....just curious....most time folks talk about a "SPL" amp..its a class D...wich you dont want to use for your front stage...

just curious

forgive me but anyoen serious about sound -- thomas u'd agree w/ me -- is not going to run 6x9's / front comps / subs off a single mono amp -- even if it is class T.
