Ex3550

Howdy all.
I was wondering if the EX3 series is about to be replaced?
Circuit City is blowing these out for $99.00 per pair right now and won't be carrying them again? Couldn't believe the price, so I found the last two from among about 8 stores in my area and bought them. Am I missing something on these 3550's? :confused: They are going in the new truck this weekend. :D

Not anytime soon. Are they really selling the EX3550 component system for $ 99.00??? If so snag it!!! The suggested retail price for this component system is $ 249.00. What is the store located?

Thanks for the response. I knew these were great components, just wanted to make sure polk didn't have something major up their sleeves and were discontinueing the EX3 series.

And, yes, I drove around to 8 circuit city's and bought the last two sets for $99.00 each. So, I have two pairs for my truck now. I am in the San Diego, CA. area. Circuit City says that they have dropped carrying the EX3550 and are blowing them out of their warehouses at $99.00 and will not carry them again. But, the strange thing is that they are still carrying the 3660 at full price, $229.00. I couldn't understand why they were dropping the 5.25" EX3. Glad I got the last two in San Diego! :lol:


Out of all of the stores in my area, these were the two stores that had one pair each left that I bought:

Escondido, CA. 760-738-7400
Vista, CA. 760-631-8440

And, every circuit city I called, they all had the EX3550 listed as a tweeter only. Not one of these so called "sales guys in car audio" even knew what the EX3550 was. They were just clueless.

Deal of the year for me.
