Shocking setup you have there, Trey. Never would've guessed you'd go with Tyler / VPMS speakers and Klaus Xtremes.
I would've guessed RTi70s X 7 and maybe some Crown Amps.:D
Okay, I wanna play for real now. I might go Lsis all around (out of respect), or. . .
Thiel 3.7 fronts
Thiel MCS1 Center (maybe Dual)
Thiel MCS1 for surrounds
And either some big SVS's, or keep the Thiel theme and get two SS4 subs.
Don't know what electronics I'd need. Let's say Krell Amps, Classe pre-pro, and both HD-XA2 and PE BR.
Big screen, treated / custom room, raised theater seating, recline all the way back, stocked fridge.

End of story
Our current setup fits the bill! We're beyond pleased with it! Those darn tubes seem so mystical though for a nice 2 channel rig of course :)

If it existed, I would get Polk LSI 12's (the 9's in a tower box that weighs around 40lbs) LSIC & LSIFX's. And I would get a flat panel tv. I would keep everything else the same.
Unfortunately I see that happening with the Polks. So my next set of speakers will be Dynaudio Focus series.

AMP X 7 to run Mono for the center,Left,Right and surrounds and 8 to run the 8 subs in Mono! Ass flexing bass!

NOW FOR THE 8 18" SUBS
http://www.harmanaudio.com/images/products/front_large/S1S-EX.jpg
But then again if money was no object I might just fly the guys from SVS to the house and their equipment for a month and have them build me some subs that would Blow the house DOWN instead of using the JBL subs. But I would have no less then 8 subs in that HT.
Here is the link to the System
http://www.jblsynthesis.com/products/system_overview.aspx?prod=SYN-EVEREST&Language=ENG&Country=US&Region=USA
I'm thinking the Everest system is anywhere from $100,000 to $150,000 With just 8 amp not 15. So there would be some added cost. But just a slight raise.
I also like tha Mac. system that Face listed also. But you just can't go wrong with JBL.

I heard those and they do sound really really nice they were being pushed with all Mac of course and 500w mono blocks real nice and real tall.
But my system would be all Mac with Triad Platniums in a teated room for me there is no substitute.

I'd have to say a B&W 5 nautilus speakers
http://bwmedia.keycast.com/med/Libraries/3/02-Nautilus-Image_l2_w817_h328.jpg
but would be a hard power problem you need 20 channels just to power them properly
Power amplifier requirements 4 channels per speaker, rated
100W - 300W continuous into
8Ω on unclipped programme
(each channel to have identical gain and phase)

Surrounds (X4): Guarneri

Is there a reason for the Shell design for the enclosure? I've always liked them but I wonder if the enclosure looks the same inside as they do on the outside?

The enclosure is actually made of either fiberglass or concrete - I can't remember...
Its the shape it is for a reason, just from memory, I believe the enclosure is sealed -- but its a spiral and the "tube" gets smallers as the "tube" progresses --- thus killing the back wave to nothing, the enclosure should be inert

Thing to keep in mind...
The tubes behind the mids and tweets are the same idea..
Dwindling the back wave to nothing

Thank You for extending that knowledge. I always wondered about that. I kinda figured that B&W had a method to their madness. :)

Cost no object eh?? Given the same room I have now........
Legacy whispers or Montana WAS upfront
Legacy Focus in the rear
2 Legacy Point one subs upfront
Bat vk 600 amps
Mcormack DNA 500 amps
maybe some Classe componants
Cdp's are too numerous to mention along with the whole HD/BR thing.
Sure would like to squeeze some Cary mono's in there too or Butler mono's.

I am seeing a lot of dream 2 Channel speakers here but for HT I think it's overkill - I guess unless you integrate the two. I think in the future my big $$ will be for the 2 channel and I will keep the HT costs lower...........AW who am I kidding?:p

Darla, you know as well as I do that there is no such thing as overkill in Audio. You certainly didn't think so when you had all your top notch equipment when you were into HT.
This is what annoys me with you extremists. You make up all these artificial rules about audio & that 2 channel is sooooo superior & thats where you should put the money.
BULLSHIT!!! You should buy the very best equipment that you can afford for either preference. That way you will have less to buy when you switch back & forth between the 2.

No overkill is the 30000 buck cables used to run it all:D

Yeah I noticed, but some newbie coming in who doesn't know you & what you put into all of your systems might get the idea to give his/her HT setup the short end of the stick.

Well all they have to do is click on my link and they will see I am a nut like the rest of you.:p I have had a rough couple of weeks Cathy. I didn't mean to offend anyone's sensiblities and the truth is I probably won't be spending any money on anything if I can even retain what I have left. That being said...

hehehehehe, DJ you should hear them now that the Polk SWA-500 is driving them..........Polk has put out an awesome product line with the Lci-RTS and the CSW subs, its like Matt thought, how can I match the sound of the SRT with a product that will sell in today's market, he cut the boys loose and they really came up with a winner. Of course you have to do the in-wall install or get it done.
That scene in Spiderman 3 when the guy becomes the Sandman is pure information overload, those subs in the Reel Time Theatre hit so hard you feel the bass go through you while the chair feels like a super butt kicker is in the seat jingling your pocket change and anything else hanging loose.
