Went to CC today, they were hooked up to a ~$900 Onkyo amp. Played Sade Live through a Sony DVD.

Bass was punchy, midrange was fairly defined, a *tad* muddy. The highs were clear and crisp, but again, a *tad* muddy.

I think with some better cables, and some proper setup, these could REALLY shine. A nice ~80wpc amp would drive them nice. I like the idea of using 3 6.5" for subwoofer. Gives a nice tight bass without the boom of a bigger speaker.

Steve I would think that next to your LSI9 most of the rt line would sound muddy. I envy your setup that is the system I would like to get one day.

Lsi and rt are different.........muddy maybe..compared that is........but the rt line is still IMO a good line for what you pay......excellent.

Well also the Rt and RTI line is subtley different to isn't it. The lsi line i would say is the most refined and higher end, But.. that doesn't make the RTI line inferior or sound bad, or muddy or what ever you will call them,

when you do a side by side compare the rt line falls off alot...they sound better in compare with speakers on there respected level.....it's all about what you like...I perfer the Lsi line

At $749 a peice, they are a little higher priced, but I would have a pair in my house. For home theater they would be quite nice because of the extended bass response.
