Yamaha RX-V1800 with RTi4, CSi3, PSW303

Hi,
New to the forums and soon to be owner of an all Polk Audio Speaker system that I want to connect up to a Yamaha RX-V1800.

I've been examining the operation manual for the PSW303 and have noted several different ways to connect up a 5.1 Surround System:
1) "Serial" connection of the Front speakers thru the PSW303
eg. front left and right speaker posts on the AVR go to the sub first, then daisy chain back to the front left and right speakers
2) "Parallel" connection of the Front speakers and the PSW303 directly from the AVR
eg front left and right speaker posts on the AVR make 'parallel' runs to both the front and left and the PSW303
3) Separate connections from the speaker our posts of the AVR to the front speakers and use of the 'sub out' connector from the AVR to the PSW303.

The descriptions of the Yamaha RX-V1800 lead me to believe that it has sub-out connectors, so the question becomes, which connection methodology do folks recommend, or does it matter at all?

I run my sub from the LFE out straight to the sub and the fronts off the AVR outs. Tried it both ways and got better results. What are you using for front and center?

OOOPS!! Use the sub out to the woofer and crossover the fronts at 100hz from the AVR. My personal taste but it's up to you to decide.
