I've got a collection of pipes that is basically collecting dust at this point; was wondering if they would be worth posting for sale here.

Nothing too great, but iirc there were some Savinellis, a Peterson, an il cepo, I think a couple of meerschaums and probably some other decent brands as well. No Dunhills or Ashtons, but some pretty nice stuff still.

I liked a 1/4 to 1/2 bend stem, so the majority of these will be of that type.

Just curious...

Back in my Cigar days me and my friends tried pipe tobacco a bit, not nearly as much as I would have liked to. It was defiantly something I would like to have gotten a foot on but pretty much stuck to Cigars in the end. Now with kids, I don’t want to smoke anything around them. Pipe smoke has always had that smell that I find very very nice, even more so then cigars.

Bring a couple tomorrow. I occasionally indulge on the porch with the Sunday paper and a cup of coffee.

Don't blame you not smoking around the kids Silver. I've never even let my nephew see me smoking...

Lightman: They're boxed up in storage so I'll have to dig them out 1st, but I did put aside a couple good cigars for you :)

Once I've got em all out, I'll throw pics up with descriptions (or at least brands anyway.)

Haha, not those, the others.

Here are some Il Ceppos (http://www.pipeguy.net/il_ceppo.htm), but mine wasn't as expensive as it was a rough finish, and a lower line (basically, a lesser quality, lesser aged piece of briar.) Still an incredibly nice pipe though.

Savinelli also makes nice pipes for the price. Italian company; been doing it for 130+ years.

Man, those are expensive! My Uncle John only smoked corncob pipes, they'd last about week and he'd break out another one.

The Frog Mortons are excellent read. I liked on the town a bit better than the regular, and have not tried on the bayou yet (I assume its just some perique thrown in as well?)

Nothing wrong with corn cobs; they're actually decent smokes till they burn out.

I'll make sure and dig these up soon, as I promised to send Lightman one when theyve been rediscovered anyway.
