Guys,
Man, what a great day! First my Rti10's get delivered a full day earlier than expected and my Onkyo 805 arrived as well! Anyway, this is my new setup:
RTi10's
FXi3
CSi5
Any last minute pointers about speaker settings and general connection help would be appreciated! I read on another site about investing in some sort of sound leveler? I guess what folks were saying is that Audssey was running into some issues while calibrating in the beginning.
Thanks!

64,
Just hook em up and start enjoying it. My brother asked me about calibrating too and I told him I used my ears and he laughed and said that it's most likely not correct. I told him I'm enjoying it with CD's and HT and that's all that counts
One day I may do some calibration, but for now any free time to listen to my system is a very good and cherished time.
Enjoy!!!

Just connect everything up with the gear powered down and then enjoy!
Congratulations!

I would still buy a Radio Shack SPL meter to calibrate the system, that way you get the very best out of your components. Invest in quality grade speaker wire and Interconnects as well. And as the others have said, sit back and enjoy.

64met, wire everything up.. then if your Onkyo has a auto calibrate for the speakers.. run that then sit back and enjoy a movie or some music.
congrats on your set up.

I enjoyed my 805 for probably 6 months on the built in speaker setup using the mic. Not until I joined this forum did I realize that there may be better music to be had out of my system. I did buy a Radio Shak SPL and the db's for each speaker did end up being different. I like the SPL settings better and often I swear one speaker isn't working because the sound is matched so well from both I cant distinguish it coming directly from either speaker. If that makes any sense to you.
Enjoy for ahwile before you start geting upgraditis

Ok guys... stupid question... BUT I ran the Audessey from my Onkyo 805 and will re-run later again but I noticed in the speaker setting menu is says:
Impedeance 6 ohms (only other choice is 4)
Speaker Type -Bi Amp (Only other choice is normal)
I am running the rti10 with fxi3 and csi5... so based on my speakers is the above correct?
Thxs!
