Ok I went and bought a bedini cd clarifier fully skeptical thinking, well practically convinced actually that it was another snake oil item.

I mean what possible change can one really expect from a hand held device that spins your cd around in circles at high speed?

Well im here to tell you it works. How or why I have not a clue but there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever in my mind that a change occured, a positive one too :D

I tried this lil gadget on several cds to make sure that it wasnt some odd coincedence that it appeared to improve the sound quality on the first disc I tried. It improved them all everytime period.

The biggest improvement is in clarity and detail. Its like using a cheap pair of interconnects that you get out of a 50.00 cd player box then using a pair of quality ICs the difference in detail is astonishing almost like the music was muffled before somehow. And I thought it actually sounded pretty good before.

All the anti tweak people go ahead and beat me down because I dont have any scientific data to back this up. I dont care because ill be listening to my music with a big smile plastered on my face while I spin the next cd on the list. :)

Well, I think a glass of Jack Daniels works well too.:D
Not applied to the cd, of course.
Give it about 24 hours and try it again.

A guy in the Dallas audio club has one, and I've cut a TON of cd's on it. I just can't justify paying the price to get my own.

Oh, he said the Clarifier - those are $99 to $199 for the different models.

They (I thought it was them) made (make?) a cd cutter, that actually trued the edge of the cd - actually cuts it with a blade at a certain angle. Over $1000 retail.

Why would anyone want to cut a cd?:confused:

So the cutter actually works? Never seen one and don't quite get how that would work unless it helps with some sort of reflections or something that might affect the laser assembly. I'll have to do some research.

Yeah, it works. It's also a lot cheaper than it used to be. It's made by Audio Desk, I don't know why I thought Bedini made it.

Remember, there are forces in the universe that even I myself do not yet fully comprehend.

Feeling compelled in any way, shape, or form to purchase a product such as this would be one of those forces.

Well here is a pic of one. I went into this knowing full well that it wouldndt work and expecting nothing and of course not expecting any of you guys to belive me either if I said it did but it does do something to change the sound, what that might be is anyones guess.

If any of you get a chance to try one of these for next to nothing or for free give it a whirl. You will be pleasantly surprised, no one was more surprised than I was trust me on this.

Im not saying this and convincing myself there is a difference either because it costs me a huge sum of money and now I need to perceive a difference to justify my expenditure.

If it hadndt actuallly worked I would have tossed it in the trashcan and never said a word about it lol:D

I've got a lot of high tech looking stuff here. Maybe one of them could become the next hot audio ticket. Let me do some testing and get back with you. I hope you still got some money left?:D

But still, invite some friends over and try it a couple more times.
Curious to see what they think.
Russ, I would love to see that cd cutter in action.
Now that work is done, I think some sleep is in order.

I paid less than $20.00 for mine I figured what the hell for the price of a cd it was worth a shot. im still amazed everytime I listen to a couple tracks of a cd then pull it out then put it on this thing for a few seconds then pop it back in im shaking my head saying wow.

As I mentioned earlier if any of you happen to run accross one of these for next to nothing give it a try, I think you will be amazed like I am if not well your not out much money. I am probally one of the biggest skeptics when it comes to tweaks most usally dont work as promised or simply dont work at all and there is no doubt in my mind that if I hadndt run accross this thing dirt cheap I wouldnt have bothered to try it either.

If anyone else is looking to try one of these on the cheap, there is another device that works just as well. And it's on SALE!

What are you guys laughing at? Since using this device, not only is sound improved dramatically, but load times to start playing the discs are much faster. Works on both DVD's and CD's!:p

Um, it looks like all this device does is spin the cd, literally. You could get the same thing by getting a drill bit to match the diameter of the opening in the cd, slide it on the drill bit and turn on the drill. If the drill bit wasn't snug enough, just take scotch tape and wrap it around the bit until snug.

I don't know why or how this would affect anything, but if you want to try it.....here's your chance for free. [provided you have a drill, scotch tape and a drill bit]

Oh yeah Snow.......you Fool!

Every time I use the DVD rewinder, I hear demonic messages.
Something about dumping vinyl and cd's for MP3 and selling my soul?

Bedini claims it "de-magnetizes" the CD, and improves the error rate. Never mind that neither polycarbonate, or aluminum holds a magnetic charge, or that a magnetic charge would affect the reading of the CD in any manner.

This claim was tested here:
http://digital-recordings.com/cdcheck/sensnd02.html

The device does nothing. Of course you guys don't believe in the placebo effect, you are all immune, but that's all it is.

Oh, Wow. My CD player spins my CD fast, too. I didn't know it had a built in clarifier. I guess it clarifies it before the laser hits it. Cool.

Got to go listen.

OK, so put a negatively charged magnet near the CD /DVD. Flip the magnet for the other side.

Add a magnet to the list of supplies. There you go.

I hear if you rub the CD on your belly(big belly works better) it works much the same as this clarifier, can anyone confirm?
