A woman I work with mentioned she might want to buy the cd version of the Bose Wave. I indicated there were other systems out there that were probably better, and probably cheaper. Having said that I really don't know which ones to suggest.

The isonic seems highly reviewed but has more features than she cares about and the $599 asking price for the Polk is steeper than she wanted to go. She already has a standard Bose Wave but wanted cd capability. So, any suggestion? She said that apparently the Bose (with cd) has a propomtion discount that would put it the $350 range (I think).

Alternatively if anyone has a very clean iSonic to sell she might be interested.

Thanks.

Polk is selling refurb iSonics for $399 BIN, or try to bid and get it even cheaper. Go for the iSonic, and she'll have dvd capability, xm and hd radio capability too.

Thanks Russ. I typed isonic into ebay and originally got no hits. Didn't realize i needed to separate the i from sonic. That may be more to her price point. As I indicated she has no interest in the added features (doesn't even know what they mean). Is it safe to assure her that the sound of these is superior to what she already thinks is a superlative sounding Bose Wave?

The I-Sonic amazes me every time I hear it.

Just got the I-Sonic and I am amazed by it's big, clear sound. Have heard a few Bose table-tops with CD and they do not compare. Polk has really come up with a winner here.--GREAT UNIT, and has DVD, XM and HD as well. Bose doesn't offer that in one system as yet.
