Has anyone ever cracked one open to see the actual construction on the RTi 10's? I was wondering if the 7 inch subs have there own seperate enclosure?
I would really like to amp the bottom and try and get as much bass as possible from them.
They produce some good bass as they are now, but i just know they can pack a heavier punch.
I cant wait to put some external amplification on them. JC1's would be so nice!

It looks like they are seperate from the cutaway illustration, but when i disconnect the jumpers the subs still move while the mids and highs are still playing.

Weird... That is kindof strange.
That illustration is the RTi12. I took apart a damaged RTi10 that I bought on eBay and the subs do not have a separate enclosure.

No it's not. Actually, perfectly normal.

What amps do you have, or are planning to get?

Dude, the difference between those two amps are going to be night and day when it comes to the speakers end result. I have had a model similar to the Onkyo in my rig for testing purposes last year and to be honest, that amp does not do those speakers justice. You could expect much beefier bass, more punch and a sweeter top end with an improved midrange.
