This site has popped up over the last few days with LSICs brand new (no refurb) for 349 with a 5 year warranty.

Has anyone heard or ever dealt with highdecibels.com?

Thanks, Jeff

Their website seems to be a little devoid of how to contact them if you wanted to chat, and doesn't really say where they are located. Those are some warning signs. I paid $329 for my LSiC at Tweeter, NIB.

Thanks for the insight DK.... the flags for me were the crutchfied name and phone number in the photo of the speaker, and the only phone number they list is a fax number.

I do not believe that they are an authorized dealer. They didn't include a Polk Warranty with the subwoofer I purchased from them. It took a lot of help from Google after several months to finally get my order.

Yes, I ordered two pairs of LSi9's, a LSiC, and a pair of LSiFX a month ago. It took them three weeks to have LSi9's and LSiC in my possession. They shipped these about 10 days after I placed an order on their website, and it took another 10 days for me to receive them because they put less weight than what the actual package would weigh (e.g. they would put down 42 lbs for a package of LSi9 that actually weighs 60 lbs), probably to pay less on the shipping with UPS and this in turn takes extra days for UPS to correct it, causing an unnecessary delay! I never got LSiC after a month, they said that it is in such high demand that they are still awaiting a response from Polk Audio after their request, and that there are other dealers who are ahead in the Polk Audio waiting list so that they don't know exactly when they would have in stock. Yet they charged my credit card a week after I placed an order, way before they shipped any of them.
So, order from them only if you are willing to wait a month or two. I ended ordering LSiC from Crutchfield for $100 more than HighDecibel price, but they sent me Polk Audio Atrium 45-Outdoor/Indoor speakers that is worth at least $150 for free too!
From High Decibel, I saved $700 for two pairs of LSiC9's and LSiFX compared Crutchfield prices, but wasted a month of time and about 30 e-mails sent to them asking what is going on! So be prepared to wait if you want to save money; theirs are NEW and have Serial Numbers and everything, but just takes a way too long to get even if you are mentally prepared that it will be late!!!
This is their phone number: 1-800-356-1078. The owner is Alan Moses.
Good luck! :mad::cool::p;):D:(:)

They might be new but you have no warranty as it's an unauthorized dealer.

That's one of the places that never delivered my LSI C. It was a real PIA to get my money back too. Someone else had trouble with them and highdecibels made the mistake of referring to me in one of their posts. They said they shipped my speaker and it was damaged by UPS and returned to them with a different tracking number. They could not provide the tracking number of when it was shipped out or the return number either.
Alan is the one I talked with the most. Because of the delay he agreed to ship at no charge. My CC was charged full price and still no shipment after two weeks. This happened about 3 weeks after the order was placed. So I finally had to dispute the charge on my CC and I got the money back.
Beware of these guys.

I was about to order RTi mains and a center from these guys until I came across this post. I added them to my cart on the site and entered my ship to info to determine the total cost with shipping. I did not place the order.

The next day I received an email noting an order number informing me that my order was incomplete and that I needed to return to the site to complete the order. :eek:

That's a little fishy to me. I was glad I didn't order then, and extremely glad I didn't order after reading this post.

When in doubt, email the manufacturer. And I did just that. My response from Polk was that highdecibels .com is NOT an authorized Polk Audio dealer. To order from any non-authorized company for a product you want usually spells t-r-o-u-b-l-e! Avdepot.net has even better prices than highdecibles, but I have not found out yet if they are authorized or not.
