Need some advice to best "tune in" the speaker/sub combo. TIA

Slowcar (Mustang?),
Are you using this setup simply for 2-channel? If so, I would recommend not using a sub with the 15's. They dig pretty deep. In comparison with some more expensive speakers (VonSweikert VR2's) the bass could be a bit tighter, but that is being pretty picky. I have the 15's in my living room and simply crave the tight, deep bass they produce. I don't have a setup recommendation for you if you decide to keep the sub in the mix, but thought I would throw my 2 cents in regarding leaving the sub out.
Having said that... Are you maybe setting this up in a HT application? That's a different story.

Welcome to forum, and good choice on the Polks:D
Can't help here, but recommend listing all components involved, to get 'big picture' out to the Polk guru's, so you can get this thing set up ONCE!

(just so you know...that's not a slow car)
+1 on listing the whole system. it will be easier to give recommendations.
