I own a pair of RT3000's that when the built in amps power up I get a local TV or Radio station broadcast through the subs. The only way to turn this off is to disconnect the power cord. As soon as the subs/amps are powered back up the station comes back.
This is rather annoying, besides being not able to hear these great speakers the way they are meant to be heard. I have tried to plug them into different outlets and even a cheap ($35) surge protector. My next attempt at solving this is to purchase an expensive ($600) power center, such as the Monster Power HTS5000. Would this solve my problem, or is there a better solution?

That may solve the problem if the signal is coming in through the AC line. I used to live next to an AM radio tower. Good luck, you'll need it. Being careful not to touch any power leads you can take foil and wrap around various cables and ground to various components to see if any gain can be made. Be careful not to touch the AC plugs though. If you don't understand any of this then don't try it.
