This is a sprayer made for cleaning monitor screens. I picked one up to try with record cleaning fluid because I found it for $5 in a bargain bin.
I must say it is working out nicely with the VPI 16.5 vacuum cleaner. If I spray it over 1/2 the lp for one revolution it is the perfect amount for when the brush is dry. (Always takes a little more the first time). After that I hold it a little higher and mist the whole LP at one time. This puts a mist on the paper center but hasn't been causing any problems so long as I wipe it off with the supplied fiber cloth. My guess is I could slow the motor down a little and make it perfect by going to 2 batteries rather than 4 but it is fine the way it is. It is made to spray upwards towards a screen but a slight modification fixed that. I shortened the little filler hose 1/2" and positioned so it was at the front of the tank instead of the back. Very easy.
Remember that feeling of awkwardness you had on the first few records you cleaned? This sprayer makes you feel the same way at first but it goes away after a few records once you get comfortable with it.
I recommend. Fits well visually too. I could see this thing costing $80 or more if it were being sold for this purpose. I took mine apart and found it to be made quite well inside. The look of the sprayer is very good quality too. This is a no-brainer even at $10 plus shipping.
