purchasing a NAD 225x2 amp Friday and will connect it to my RT2000P. Now, is there anything i should know before connecting since the RTs have built in amps? thanks...

I guess the only thing is to make sure it is hooked up to the high level inputs-with the gold connector in between....The high level input for the sub will convert it into a useable signal and the 225 watts will go to the midrange and tweet....
sounds like it will rock
First off, cool speakers! I had to part with them not long ago and miss the hell out of them...
As you might have experienced already, the 2000's are incredibly effecient. I hear NAD is incredibly simular to AMC. I used AMC's equipment to drive my 2000's and man, it took nothing at all to make them sing.
If such is the case, then I would go gentle with how much watts you give the 2000's. With 225 you may over-drive.
No real advice with the subs, generally you dont want to turn the knob past its mid point or else during higher volumes the subs may bottom out.
Other then that, enjoy!

currently have the RTs connected to a Denon AVR 90wpc, but looking for more in the upper freq...hopefully, this will add something. If not, will upgrade speakers, but will always have the rock-solid amp. thanks...
The problem could very well be your sources, Moore. What "more" are you looking for in the upper frequencies?
