Anyone know what I could get for this receiver? It is in new condition, kept in an audio rack that was well ventilated. Never pushed too hard.

Put it A-gon. I have had a couple of htr model yamahas and they have always sold in less than a day on A-gon. You might not have the same luck but its worth a try.

There is A-gon and B-gon. We prefer A-gon to buy stuff and B-gon for idiots who start trouble.

I had a 5240 and was tracking sales prices. Never saw one on A-gon but ebay was selling them under $100....but, that's ebay....

just one time I want to see someone say, "I stuck this g-d amp in the corner next to the dog food bowl and spilled beer on it everytime I cranked the mother so loud it broke the neighbor's ceiling...made loud to be played loud...."

Thats funny and I agree. Similar to the "Pet free and Smoke free environment" statement that is becoming a standard for anything someone tries to sell. "Got a small clay flower pot that I'm selling and comes from a pet free and smoke free home" Who gives a crap!
