Hello
quick question
I have the Yamaha RX-V1300 receiver with a selectable ohm switch. I currently have the switch set to 8 ohms.
Is this correct as I noticed the Rti series CSi series FX series
all indicate "4 ohms nominal" on their spec sheets.

The Yamaha other ohm switch setting is a combination of different
ohms (not sure but something like 4 ohms front 6 ohms rear etc)

Thanks for the help!!!!!

NORM!

I believe that all of your speaks are 8 ohm, I'd say set it at 8 and let 'em rip.

Are you sure?

The owners manual for the RTi FXi and the CSi all indicate
"4 ohms nominal"

The online manual shows 8 ohm. That's what I've always ran mine at anyway.

NOOOOOOOOOOOORM!

The are designed to be used with HT receivers which most are designed to deal best with 8 ohm loads. Check with customer service, though, they may be able to shed a little more light though.

It's amazing how documentation, in a field where technical setup and calibration play such a significant role in a hobby (regardless of vendor), can be consistently lacking. Guess that's why we have forums.
